Volunteer Task Descriptions


Festival Hours: Saturday 11AM-9PM; Sunday 11AM-6PM

Friday Set-up 10AM-6PM

Saturday Set-up 8AM-10AM

Sunday Clean-up 6PM-Dusk

Monday Clean-up 9AM-1PM

Festival Set-up:

Friday: 10AM-6PM. Volunteers can assist with setting up tents, vendor areas, displaying signs, constructing fencing, and any other set-up activities. Camp sites will also need to be marked.

  • Four designated volunteers will be needed to help load equipment for main stage set-up between 5PM and dusk on Friday.

Saturday: 8AM-10AM. Vendors are expected to set-up their own areas, but volunteers will be available if help is needed with tents, moving equipment, etc.


Parking Coordinators: Volunteers will direct festival attendees as they park on Saturday and Sunday during the Festival’s operating hours.


Ticket Booth: Ticket collectors will be responsible for scanning credit cards, collecting cash and making change for transactions, as well as scanning pre-paid paper/smart-phone tickets. Training will be provided.


Waste Management: As a “zero waste” festival, waste stations will include recycling, refuse, and compost bins. There will be numerous waste stations located throughout the festival grounds. Volunteers at the waste stations will assist festival goers sort their refuse items. One volunteer will be designated to remove waste (via utility cart) from stations to the main dumpsters.

Welcome Tent: Seated at the welcome tent, volunteer survey takers will be responsible for handing out and collecting surveys. Volunteers at this table will also be responsible for handing out festival maps/schedules and answering questions about the festival.


Alcohol Servers: Volunteers can distribute beer and wine.


Alcohol Wrist Band Sellers: Volunteers can handle transactions for alcoholic beverages. A team of Security Personnel will verify identification.


Hospitality Tent Team: Volunteers can help manage the hospitality tent for musical acts. This will include food/drink set-up and keeping the area clear of waste.


Festival Clean-up:

Sunday: 6PM-Dusk. Breakdown and clean-up will commence immediately after the last band performs.

  • Volunteers can help unload equipment for main stage breakdown on Sunday evening.


Monday: 9AM-1PM. The Sussex County SWAP/SLAP Program will provide people to help with clean-up duties (e.g. clean up concert fields, remove signs, etc.), but some volunteers may be needed to assist.
