Originating in Bloomington, Indiana in late 2009, the Main Squeeze now resides in Chicago, where they have established themselves as a band with unique sound and identity. Recently, they won an international battle of the bands in Macau, China and were chosen by Rolling Stone Magazine to open for The Roots and Janes Addiction at the official Superbowl XLVI tailgate party in Indianapolis. In addition, they performed for more than 1,000 fans at the 2012 Bonaroo Music Festival.
In 2012, the band debuted their self titled album, which combines each members varied musical background, influences, and interest to create an eclectic mix of funk, rock, electro, and jazz. They have quickly developed a growing fan base throughout the East Coast and in the Midwest and have performed at a number of large music festivals and toured extensively.
