Highlands Festival Freewheelers Fun Ride
Saturday, September 20, Register by 9, Ride at 9:30
Kick off your day at the Highlands Festival by cycling into the Highlands. Ride with us and get free parking for the day and a $10 discount on Saturday tickets to the Festival.
You’ll be riding with the Morris Area Freewheelers Bicycle Club, one of NJ’s largest and most active adult on road and on trail club. Our members will lead you on a short, flat fun ride from Waterloo to Cranbury Lake. It’s a little over 7 miles, round trip. You’ll be on the road for a short time, then on the fabulous Sussex Branch trail past Jefferson Lake to Cranbury, one of the typical vacation lakes that have dotted the Highlands since early in the last century. Bring your camera!
So if you’ve been back on the bike this summer, or thinking about getting it out of the garage, or curious about Club road and trail riding, join us!
- Gravel trail requires a mountain bike, a hybrid, a cruiser or a bike with wide tires (32’s if you’re into cycling!)
- Helmets mandatory. Our members never ride without one.
- Park and sign in on the lawn area outside the Village. Look for the Freewheeler’s sign.
- Click on this link to register. Must be 18 or older.
